ABOUT BADGERS
Steeped in history, Badgers was previously known as The Railway Inn in the late 1800’s and was the old charabanc stop on the way to Goodwood racecourse.
The Badgers is a privately owned freehouse nestled in the heart of the South Downs. The Badgers has been run for the past 30 years by Jules Arlette, the proprietor, and her friendly team, who endeavour to make sure your visit as pleasurable as possible.The Badgers has a lively bar, supported by an interesting array of locals with many a tale to tell! It also has a fine restaurant with a unique menu to cater for all tastes.
We have three spacious double bedrooms, each beautifully and individually decorated with its own unique character all have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower attachment. The Badgers is steeped in history, it was previously known as The Railway Inn in the late 1800’s and was the old charabanc stop on the way to Goodwood racecourse. It also served Petworth Railway Station which closed down in the 1960’s.
We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce, wherever possible, and our menus change regularly to incorporate seasonal availability throughout the year.
